Job Summary: The Hearing Instrument Specialist will provide audiological services, provides diagnostic treatment services to individuals of all ages throughout west Central Alabama.
Additional Department Summary: The primary roles of the Hearing Instrument Specialist are to administer fittings, testings, and to focus on hearing aid sales.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Clinical Masters or Clinical Doctorate of Audiology degree.
Skills and Knowledge: Collaboration/Building Relationships: Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of UA who can provide information, assistance and support to meet mutual goals and objectives.
Ethics/Integrity: Performs job duties/responsibilities in a way consistent with UA’s values and principles. Sets an example by consistently modeling high standards of performance, honesty, inclusivity and truthfulness.
Self-development: Engages in a continuous process of self-development, identifying and addressing learning and development needs to enhance own performance. This will largely be accomplished through collaborations with the principal investigator of the grant and outside professional organizations.
